El Gouna, our flagship project, is a private self-sufficient town built on 10 km of the Red Sea coastline in El Gouna, Egypt. El Gouna comprises a total land area of 36.92 million m2, of which 15.64 million m2 has been developed, thus providing a large land bank for future development.
El Gouna offers a wide range of international-standard facilities such as a landing strip, a world-class hospital, a nursing institute, two championship 18 hole golf course, three marinas with a capacity of 361 berths, 463 commercial outlets. El Gouna also hosts a satellite campus of the Technische Universität Berlin, which offers three Master's degree programs and it is home to a field study center of the American University in Cairo, a variety of both international and Egyptian curriculum schools and a library linked to Bibliotheca Alexandrina as well as a cable park with a complete water sports complex. In August 2014, El Gouna was the first destination in Africa to be awarded with Global Green City Award, sponsored by the United Nations Environment Program, this award is handed to cities displaying substantial measures and efforts in progress within the field of environmental sustainability.
